Industry Analysts Predict PlayStation VR Will Dominate
Three different high-profile virtual reality headsets are scheduled for release this year from Sony, HTC, and Oculus. The PlayStation VR has the highest chance at success especially if Sony can keep the price under 500 dollars according to leading industry analyst, Michael Pachter. Because of Sony's brand recognition, marketing capabilities, and large install base of users who already own PlayStation 4 systems, they have the best shot at "winning" any competition for the virtual reality space. Here's what Pachter had to say:
"Wow, Vive priced at $800. This sets Oculus to win at $600, and sets Sony up to dominate if they have the ability to price sub $500."

PlayStation Vita 2000 - "Slim"

The PlayStation Vita 2000 is a powerful little handheld game console in the PlayStation family, the successor to Sony's PlayStation Portable, developed and manufactured by Sony Computer Entertainment for the eight gaming generation. There's a handful of reasons it's not actively competing with Nintendo's 3DS or other mobile platforms and I will explain those, but this review is about the system itself and what it brings to the table - not why it's on the verge of failing in the handheld market. Below is some basic specifications of the device, and we'll get more into what's under the hood in a little bit.

Castle Crashers - Pink Knight Pack

The first free pack for Castle Crashers, the Pink Knight Pack includes the rumored Pink Knight playable character, as well as five additional weapons - including a variation of the lollipop available in the King Pack. Not a whole bunch of goodies this time around, which is only half of a real shame. It is another character and a handful of new weapons for free - but this could have been some real fan service with a few more rumored characters. I'm still waiting on the "build your own knight" option (which I realize might never happen) - that could have been included within this free pack.
But enough about what I wished this free pack would have been. You get much more than your money's worth (Behemoth is pretty good about that), with a free character, a fish sword, another lollipop weapon, and some sort of scissor blade (among other things). You have nothing to lose from downloading it, maybe you'll even see more beauty in it than I did.

Sony Computer Entertainment Now Sony Interactive Entertainment
Sony Computer Entertainment no longer exists. The PlayStation brand is very much alive, but has been moved and renamed Sony Interactive Entertainment [Review tags are going to get confusing again - Bryan]. The platform holder claims that the change will power the next 20 years of PlayStation innovation. Since the release of the PlayStation 4, Sony has been labeling all of its new online initiatives under the PlayStation umbrella (PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Music, etc.), so trimming the fat to empower the brand does make sense. Here's what SCEE boss Jim Ryan had to say:
"The formation of SIE will create an even stronger PlayStation. That means an even bigger emphasis on developing pioneering platforms like the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR, world-class games from our World Wide Studios development teams, and innovative network services such as PlayStation Vue." It does mark the end of an era, …

Star Wars Battlefront

Released: November 17, 2015 Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One Players: 1-2 Local, 8-40 Online Publisher: EA Developer: DICE ESRB Rating: T for: Violence
Back in 2004 LucasArts gave us a Star Wars game unlike any other. Instead of focusing on the Jedi, smugglers, and other grand adventures of the saga we were instead put in the shoes of the Rebel soldiers and Imperial Stormtroopers and given the chance to fight the battles we all had come to know and love. It became the highest selling Star Wars game of all time and gave us one of the best sequels I've ever played, Star Wars Battlefront II. With Battlefront II we got access to space battles, playable heroes and villains, and Galactic Conquest one of the best multiplayer modes ever made in my opinion. Fast forward to 2015 and finally we were given another game in this amazing series.
Battlefront was my most anticipated game of 2015. With a new Star Wars movie on the way it made perfect sense to relaunch this beloved series. This Battlefront is…

Castle Crashers - Necromancer Pack

The Necromancer Pack includes 2 more characters for your in-game roster, 2 additional weapons, and one more animal orb. The second pack available for Castle Crashers, and it pulls some more original characters from the universe and gives you the wheel to let you drive.
Some familiar baddies are now working for the good guys, and you'll have the option to select the Necromancer now, as well as the Cult Minion. Two new characters means two new magic spells, each of which reflect something similar to the personalities of the characters. The Chainsaw, and the Gold Skull Mace are the new weapons included in this pack and yours to use if you wish (none of these weapons are a whole lot better than what you'll find in game). Keeping with the whole "bad guy" theme, the new animal orb is "Dragon" who, opposite from "Pelter," shoots periodic fire balls at your attackers. I found this pack not as aesthetically pleasing at the King Pack, but it…

Assassin's Creed Syndicate - Jack the Ripper

Jack the Ripper is an expansion that takes place twenty years after the events of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Seeing the same sights in the "future" still felt very samey, but there are some new areas that I found particularly impressive. To summarize the narrative, Jacob took a young assassin apprentice under his wing, and his name was Jack - you can guess the direction the story moves from there. Jack doesn't convert to the Templar order, instead I wasn't really sure what his motivation was until I was nearing the end of the add-on. I'm a big fan of consequence in narrative, so having the ending play out the way it did was a disappointment, and that's all I'll say about that.

Storytelling in Assassin's Creed hasn't changed since as long as I can remember. There are some impressive scenes and vistas that show off the PlayStation 4's hardware, and the general walking and talking to important characters. I managed to get 100-percent complet…

Dante's Infero: Trials of Saint Lucia

Trials of St. Lucia is a completely original addition to Dante's Inferno. No real additions to the story here, but there is a wonderfully addictive arena which makes up the vast majority of this DLC. Also, the addition of the character Lucia is a nice touch - not playable in the main game, but still a nice change of scenery. Trails of St. Lucia also allows players to cooperatively work together through various arena matches, making  some form of multiplayer (something players wanted) possible.
There's a lot of content here, mainly St. Lucia, arena matches (both EA approved, and fan-made), and creation tools. The new character plays very similarly to Dante, but seeing a fresh face might be all somebody needs to pick up this game again, not to mention playing this game with a buddy is pretty fun. The arena matches are similar to horde modes in other games... Fight through waves of increasingly difficult enemies with certain bonuses or sabotages enabled. The creatio…

Nintendo NX To Interact With PlayStation 4
Nintendo's new NX console is rumored to be able to interact with smartphones, PC and PlayStation 4. Such a move is considerably more likely given that Square Enix has already demonstrated interest in porting Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn to the dedicated game platform, although were waiting on confirmation as to whether Nintendo Network policies would allow for cross-platform gameplay. Players on PC and PlayStation 4 can already play together. This could open up the idea for future releases between the few platforms to all communicate together.
